Anxiety is an emotion related disorder. Anxiety leads to distress which interrupts living a normal life. Anxiety disorders are a group of mental disorders characterized by feelings of anxiety and fear. Everyone feels anxious every now and then. But when it persists for a prolonged period it leads to difficulties in surviving a normal life and become a serious mental illness. Anxiety is a feeling of fear, uneasiness, and worry, usually generalized and unfocused as an overreaction to a situation that is only subjectively seen as menacing. People who are suffering from anxiety experience a constant and overwhelming worry and fear. These emotions can be disabling if left untreated. There are many types of anxiety depending on the underlying reason: Panic DisorderPeople having panic disorder have a feeling of terror that strike suddenly and repeatedly with no sign and symptom. Some of the symptoms of panic attack are sweating, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, and a choked feeling. Social AnxietyIt is a social phobia that involves irresistible worry and self-consciousness about being judged by the social circle and by the everyday social situation. Specific PhobiaPeople who have fear in a specific situation such as height, dark, alone etc.are suffering from a form of anxiety known as the specific phobia. The level of fear may make you avoid common everyday situations.Generalized Anxiety Disorder – This is excessive, unrealistic worry and tension, even if there’s little or nothing to provoke the anxiety.
