Acupressure has been used to cure common ailments like pain from ages. The technique has migrated slowly from China to all over the world and is now recognized as a solution to several diseases and injuries. Even the treatment of Stuffy and Runny Nose can be done with the help of several well-known Acupressure points.

Stuffy and runny nose are very common and they annoy more as they severely hamper the functioning of our body. They can be caused due to a cold, nasal congestion, fever, infection, etc. There are in total 6 acupressure points which are helpful in curing this problem. These acupressure points can be used anywhere you want, if you feel the problem is constant do keep a nasal spray handy.

  • Nostril Points- These acupressure points are located on your nostrils and to use them you have to put pressure on these acupressure points one by one. Repeat the process again and again up to about 10 times in a row.

 

This whole process should be repeated about 2 to 3 times a day if you want to get a fast relief from your stuffy or runny nose.

  • Bridge of the Nose Points- These acupressure points are located below the eyebrows on the bridge of the nose as shown in the image below. To activate these acupressure points apply gentle but firm pressure using your finger and repeat this process regularly. It will be better if this process is repeated on a daily basis.

 

This point is also quite helpful in giving relief from headaches. Use this point at least 2 to 3 times a day.

  • Behind the Earlobe Point- This point is located at the back of your earlobe just at the centre as shown in the image given below. To use this acupressure point in the healing of stuffy and runny nose apply mild and firm pressure on this point for a minute with the help of your thumb and finger.

 

This process has to be repeated 2 to 3 times in a day to get fast recovery from the disease.

  • Earlobe Point- This acupressure point, as the name suggests, is located on the earlobe of both the ears. To use this point in the healing of stuffy and runny nose massage it with the use of your thumb and index finger for about a minute with firm and moderate pressure, This process should be repeated 2 to 3 times in a day.

 

This massage is useful in healing stuffy and runny nose as well as nasal congestion.

  • Third Eye Point- Third Eye point is the acupressure point situated directly above the third eye chakra in between the two eyebrows. The location of the third eye point is shown in the image.

 

To activate the third eye acupressure point apply mild and firm pressure on it with the help of two of your fingers and rub the area for up to two minutes.

  • Below the Cheekbone Point- This acupressure point is situated below the cheekbones on both the sides of the face. This is a very important acupressure point related to the healing of stuffy and runny nose.

 

To use this acupressure point for the healing process massage the cheekbone point with the help of your index fingers for about two minutes. This process is to be repeated 2 to 3 times in a day.

The above listed acupressure points are all helpful in curing stuffy and runny nose, but you need not to use all of these points at once. Using a combination of two to three points and activating them 2 to 3 times in a day is sufficient for your healing process.
